OUR JOURNEY
As with all good modern love stories, it all started on Hinge. A simple swipe soon turned into a stream of messages and eventually a first date at a prosecco bar in London. The conversation flowed as much as the prosecco, and before we knew it, we were the last ones left in the bar and were politely asked to leave!
We went on to have seven dates in only three weeks, soon realising that this could lead somewhere special.
Our first ‘holiday’ was a festive one, visiting Manchester Christmas Markets (that counts, right?), and since then, we’ve ventured further around Europe and India.
Closer to home, Emily quickly introduced Tanuj to a good Sunday roast, which sparked a very serious tradition where we now rate every Sunday roast we have. Yes, there is a spreadsheet thanks to Tanuj’s love of data!
We met at exactly the right time in our lives and love doing life together, whether that is cooking up a storm at home, hosting barbecues for friends, heading out on long hikes (that Emily insists are “just a little walk”), or planning the next adventure.
On one of our adventures last year, while drinking wine by the river in Porto as the sun set in front of us, Tanuj popped the question and Emily said yes. Little did she know he had been carrying the ring around for days, waiting for the perfect moment.
Together we have navigated life’s big milestones and now we can’t wait to celebrate this next one with you in March 2026.

Hornington Manor is about a 25–30 minute drive from York.
Parking is available on-site for guests. Overnight parking is allowed, but please collect your car by 10 am on your day of departure.

The nearest main railway station is York Station, with connections from London (~2h), Leeds (~25min), and Manchester (~1h 20min).
From York Station, a taxi will take you directly to the venue. Pre-booking is recommended.

What time does the wedding start?
Our ceremony begins at 1:30pm on Saturday. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early so you’re seated and comfortable before we begin.​

If your invitation includes a plus-one, you’ll see their name on your RSVP form.

As much as we love your little ones, our celebration is for adults only. We hope you enjoy this opportunity for a night off and a chance to let your hair down with us!

Your favourite celebration outfit is perfect: suits, saris, dresses, sherwanis, or anything that makes you feel fabulous!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask for phones to be switched off during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present. Don't worry, our photographer will capture everything! You’re welcome to take photos during the reception.

We feel incredibly grateful to be celebrating with you, and we know that for many of you this day involves significant travel. Your presence is more than enough, but if you would like to give a gift, more information is available here.
